Welcome! This is my first Web site, created in 2000 for experimenting while studying Web design at Ryerson University. Most content of this site dates back to 2000, but I do update this page with my current activities from time to time. To see my other sites, please visit my portfolio at Inter Alia Design.
Bill and I live in downtown Toronto with our three Siberian cats, Shura, Katoo and Frodo. Bill works in process management. I am a pianist and cellist. I play solo and with my ensembles for weddings and special events, accompany singers and string players on the piano, teach adult piano students, and study German.
In summer 2009, Bill and I did a two-week cycling trip in the Netherlands. We visited our favourite hotel from our honeymoon, the Hotel de Wereld, and otherwise took a new route. Then I did a four-week German course at the University of Vienna, and heard a lieder concert at the Salzburg Festival.
From November 2007 to April 2008, Bill and I lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I worked at a law firm and as a pianist at Safe Harbour MCC, continued to perform wedding music, and taught adult piano lessons. On weekends, we went driving along the coast, and both took curling lessons, then played some more games that I organized for our group at the Mayflower Curling Club.
From April to October 2007, Bill and I lived in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where Bill worked long hours as a management consultant. I completed an architectural engineering technical drawing course at Penn State University, and enjoyed art classes in drawing and acrylic painting. On weekends we rode our bicycles on a rail trail or drove into New York City.
In 2006, I played keyboard with the six-piece pop-rock band ASHRAF, which performed 16 public shows and won an award from the Toronto Independent Music Awards.
In 2005, Bill and I went without water or cooking in the kitchen for well over a month while our Toronto kitchen was completely ripped out and replaced. View the renovations from start to finish!
In 2004, Bill and I were married in April, and I changed my name from Michelle Hunchak to Michelle Kyle. For our honeymoon, we went cycling in the Netherlands. From July to September, we rode our bicycles over 7,200 kilometres, from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, across Canada.
